Marina's soundtrack for the animation short 'Spaghetti Junction' has won a Global Music Award.
Spaghetti Junction depicts a dysfunctional community living under the chaos of a traffic interchange who experience a brief moment of harmony (directed by Noor Tadjer). The animation has been selected for numerous festivals including Panam Anim festival in France.
The score is inspired by gypsy/ klezmer music, featuring a string quartet, clarinet, mandolin, double bass, guitar, operatic vocals, and vocal harmonies. These live instruments and vocals were combined with experimental synths and characterful textures for the overall sound. The final film can be viewed via a private link upon request.
